Children’s Eternal Rainforest: Pocosol Station
Pocosol Biological Station. One of the most biodiverse places on earth, a hotspot on eBird with +400 different species of birds. Home to the Umbrella bird, the Rufous-vented Ground Cuckoo and the Yellow-eared Toucanet, on our way there we can birdwatch from the car looking for White-hawks too. The trails offer a lush forest, so there is a chance of seeing other wildlife like mammals and reptiles.
- Duration: full-day (6-8 hours)
- Tour time: 6:30am (you can take breakfast to go)
- Minimum: 2 people
- Recommended ages: 11-80 yrs. old
- Includes: round-trip transportation a professional bilingual guide, entrance to the reserve (support to conservation) and a typical lunch
- What to bring: binoculars, rubber boots, comfortable clothes, water bottle, Merlin/ eBird app downloaded, natural repellent
